Jillian Risigari-Gai

Jillian Risigari-Gai started harp at the age of three and has studied with many world renowned harpists. Jillian is a proud Southern Californian from South Pasadena, CA. Jillian holds a Masters in Fine Arts in Harp Performance from California Institute of the Arts as well as a Bachelor of Music in Performance- Harp from California State University- Long Beach. Jillian’s main sources of inspiration and musical influence have come from world-renowned harpists, Marcia Dickstein and new music pioneer Susan Allen.

She is currently Principal Harpist with The Industry Opera Company, and Long Beach Ballet Company. She has performed with The Long Beach Symphony Orchestra, San Luis Obispo Symphony, WildUp, Mozaic Festival symphony Orchestra, LA Jewish Symphony, and West Coast Symphony. She has also performed with Grammy Award winning and nominated artists such as Diane Schuur, Melissa Manchester, The Irish Tenors, and the Los Angeles Percussion Quartet. Jillian has also toured in Europe and all over the United States Sharing her music with others.

Jillian has worked with composers of note; Christopher Cerrone (Pulitzer Prize finalist), Jeffrey Homes (new music composer of note), Jeff Russo (“Fargo” FX TV Series), Mark Isham (“Once Upon a Time TV Series) and many others. Film credits include “Papa Hemingway in Cuba” (2015), “The Ground beneath Their Feet” 9@014), and “With Great Power: The Stan Lee Story” (2010).

Jillian Loves performing music for all audiences and exploring all frontiers in every shape and form they may take. She strives to discover the unknown in the arts and make it attainable for all to access.
