Camp Broadway
In partnership with Inland Valley Repertory Theatre, this class is open to students ages 8 to 14. This two-week program will encompass acting, singing and movement. You will read scenes and monologues from plays appropriate for your age. You will also learn songs while performing on stage. You will receive your own CD with songs to practice at home. August 4-15, Monday-Friday from 9am-12pm. 10 Class Sessions

Children's Guitar - Beginners
Students age 6 – 10 learn plucking and strumming, playing by ear, reading standard notation and tuning the instrument. Instruction is in the Suzuki spirit, involving parent participation, learning by ear, and introducing note reading. 6 sessions meet once per week on Tuesday beginning July 8th 3:00-4:00pm.

Suzuki Strings Pre-Twinkler Parent & Pre-Twinklers Violin Class
Students age 3 to 7 explore the Suzuki Method. A wonderful, exciting approach that emphasizes one’s ability to learn to a very high degree! Please visit our website for more details and schedule. Parent/ guardian plays an extremely important role in the study of this approach, which helps the student gain important life skills as well as playing well!  Private lessons are to be taken concurrently with these classes.

Summer STEM Program
Open to ages 8 to 18, the String Theory and Ensemble (STEM) program consists of 5 summer sessions beginning in July - August. This summer, we will continue with 2 aspects of the program: Sight Reading and Ensemble. Sessions will be divided by advancement level on 2 different days, Friday or Saturday. If students would like to sign up, but cannot attend either Friday or Saturday, please notify Linda Tajima or the CCSM school office. Every attempt will be made to accommodate interested string students.

STEM A is for Intermediate level violinists, CM Level 3-5 or JMF Concerto Level IA & IB (or Solo Category Elementary Class III-Medium Class III).

Fiddlin' Fun
Fiddling is such a fun and energetic form of music making! Whether from America, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Sweden, or Canada, participants have a grand time learning to play these wonderful tunes. Violinists should be able to play in the Suzuki repertoire from Book 1 (Perpetual Motion) through the Seitz Concerti in Book 4. The literature will be able to be used in a multi-level group. Students should be able to read at their playing level.   There will be an end of summer performance on August 25th at 6:00pm.

Drumset/Percussion/Cajon Karaoke
Come join us for a fun filled instrumental karaoke session where you get to play drum set and other percussion instruments to your favorite music! Held in the CCSM Huff Recital Hall, expert musicians and teachers will be available to assist you whether you are playing for the very first time, or have had previous experience. Number of participants are limited. Instruments will be provided.
