be required for orchestra or ensemble groups. Auditions
are not normally required for private lesson instruction.
The office will notify you if an audition is required.
When
is the deadline for submitting my application?
Applications are accepted at any time for private lessons.
Group class applications must be submitted prior to the class
start date.
When
are application materials available? May I use last year's
forms?
You must use current forms; application materials are available
online or at CCSM’s office.
What is the cost of lessons?
Private lesson cost varies based on the length of
lesson and the payment plan chosen. Our Summer term
offers lessons on a “per lesson” cost, currently $27.00
for 30 minutes, $39.00 for 45 minutes, and $51.00 for
one hour. Click
here to view our 2008 - 2009 Catalog.
During the school year (September through May), students sign
up for a 34-week term. This guarantees their spot on
the instructors' regular schedule.
For
example: The tuition for a 30 minute lesson each week
(34-week term), on the monthly billing plan is $103 per month.
The total cost of lessons ($927) has been divided equally
over the 9-month term, regardless of number of lessons per
month.
When
will I know who my instructor is?
Applicants
are notified of instructor assignments as soon as their lesson
time is verified with the instructor. Applicants who
have a strong desire to study with a particular instructor are
encouraged to include that information on the application.

therefore no make-up lessons are offered. If the teacher
misses a planned lesson, a make-up lesson will be scheduled.
